May 27, 2009 – Schomberg, Ontario – Olympic Champion Eric Lamaze of Schomberg, ON, will be sponsored by SSG Gloves, a Canadian manufacturer of high performance riding gloves for equestrian athletes.

From the wide variety of styles offered by SSG Gloves, Lamaze’s choice is the new SSG ‘Digital’ glove which features DigiGrip with square groove technology. Recently introduced to the marketplace following two years of testing, the SSG ‘Digital’ glove is breathable, durable, comfortable, and has a close fit with extra grip.

“They are great gloves; you have a good grip on your reins and they look nice,” said Lamaze about the SSG ‘Digital’ gloves.

Having claimed Individual Gold and Team Silver medals at the 2008 Olympic Games, Lamaze’s 2009 show season will see him compete extensively in North America and Europe with a large string of top horses including his Olympic mount, Hickstead.

“We are pleased that an athlete of Eric’s calibre chooses our riding gloves when he enters the show ring, and we are very proud of our affiliation with the Olympic Champion,” said Ed James, President of SSG Gloves.

Based in Aurora, ON, SSG Gloves has more than 50 styles to accommodate every equestrian discipline from show jumping and dressage to racing, roping and pleasure riding. To learn more about the styles and sizes offered by SSG Gloves and where to buy, please visit www.ssgridinggloves.com.
